Walnut Creek's Finance Committee will examine the city's fiscal year 2026 financial results and weigh changes to the current budget when it meets Thursday, Oct. 1.
Mayor Pro Tem Matt Francois and Councilmember Craig DeVinney, who lead the two-member committee, have two items on the agenda. The first is the FY26 fourth-quarter revenue and expenditure results, along with a year-end fund balance allocation. The second is a set of proposed amendments to the FY27 budget.
The city's biennial budget included about $4.98 million in operating enhancements for FY26 and about $1.5 million for FY27, according to the city's budget page.
Administrative Services Director Kirsten LaCasse presented the city's second- and third-quarter FY26 budget updates to the Finance Committee earlier this year.
The meeting takes place at 3:30 p.m. in the third-floor conference room at City Hall, 1666 North Main St. Residents can attend in person or email written comments to [email protected]. Comments received at least two hours before the meeting will be provided to the committee and posted to the city website as part of the official record.
