Two 5-month-old sister kittens, a gray tabby named Georgie and a tortoiseshell named Stevie, need a home together in Walnut Creek. Georgie was born April 7 and Stevie April 29, according to Community Concern for Cats.

Community Concern for Cats, a volunteer rescue that has operated in the city since the mid-1980s, listed the bonded pair in the East Bay Times pets-of-the-week column published Sept. 14 and on its own Instagram. The rescue said Georgie was found in a small cat colony and that Stevie, an affectionate lap cat who perches on her foster parent's shoulder, helped teach Georgie to trust people.

The nonprofit, known as CC4C, holds Saturday adoption events from 1 to 4 p.m. at Pet Food Express stores at 1388 S. California Blvd. in Walnut Creek and 500 Center Ave. in Martinez. Its regular adoption site at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek is open Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
