Three Northern California youth players, Lewis Phithaksounthone (Silicon Valley Soccer Academy), DJ Gray (Bay Area Surf) and Maharth Chourasia (The Town FC), have been invited to a U.S. Soccer U-14 Boys Talent ID Center after training through Walnut Creek-based COPA Soccer Training Center's assessment program.

COPA Soccer Training Center announced the invitations on X on Monday, Sept. 21, crediting its COPAScore assessment platform, Talent ID Days and its training program. A graphic accompanying the post identified the three players and their home clubs.

U.S. Soccer's Talent ID Centers are free, single-day scouting events held at 40 locations nationwide. Invited U-14 and U-15 players train and scrimmage under U.S. Soccer regional scouts. The program feeds the player pool for the U-15 Boys' National Team.

COPA Soccer Training Center, based at the Shadelands Sports Mall, uses a standardized assessment called the COPAScore to evaluate technical, physical and cognitive skills in about 60 minutes, according to the Contra Costa Herald and the center's website.
