Northgate High's girls cross country team beat Las Lomas by 30 points in a Diablo Athletic League meet at Hidden Valley Park.

Senior Olivia Joseph won the individual race, leading the Broncos past Miramonte, Campolindo and the rest of the DAL field, according to a recap posted on the Northgate athletics site by the team's coach on Oct. 4.

The Hidden Valley result followed wins at the St. Mary's Invitational and the Farmer's Invitational. The coach's recap did not include team scores or margins from those two meets but described both as major victories for the program.

Joseph kept rolling at Campolindo's Mid Season Madness, a nighttime 1,600-meter track meet that drew 11 schools. She crossed the line in 4:57, the fastest girls' time of the evening, ahead of runners from San Ramon Valley, Campolindo and Monte Vista. Northgate's girls team also recorded the fastest team time of the evening.

The Broncos now head into fall break with two major meets on the calendar. They are scheduled to travel to Woodward Park in Fresno for the Rough Rider Invitational on Friday, Oct. 16, then attend the Mt. SAC Invitational Oct. 23–24, according to Northgate's team schedule.

The invitational's official website confirms that high school competition runs Oct. 23–24 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.

DAL league racing resumes Oct. 28 at Newhall Park in Concord, according to Northgate's schedule.
