The North Face plans to relocate within Broadway Plaza in fall 2026, moving into the space left vacant when White House Black Market closed in May.
The outdoor retailer, which has operated a pop-up at the Walnut Creek shopping center since November 2023, will shift to the former White House Black Market storefront, Beyond the Creek reported on Tuesday, Sept. 1. No specific opening date has been announced.
White House Black Market, a women's clothing chain that occupied its Broadway Plaza location for more than a decade, closed in May.
The North Face's current pop-up is listed at 1275 Broadway Plz, Space 1068, according to Yelp. The suite number of the former White House Black Market space has not been published.
The move is the latest in a run of tenant changes at Broadway Plaza. Swiss chocolatier Läderach opened near the food court next to Macy's on Aug. 14, with Mayor Kevin Wilk and city economic development staff attending the ribbon cutting, according to a City of Walnut Creek announcement.
Modular furniture brand 7th Avenue opened around Aug. 20, Beyond the Creek reported. And Rowan, an ear-piercing studio staffed by licensed nurses, is preparing to open at the center, though no date has been set, Patch reported.
