Eve Wellness, a San Francisco-based breast screening company, is scheduled to open its second Bay Area clinic in Walnut Creek on Thursday, Oct. 15, according to a company announcement.

The clinic at 1844 San Miguel Drive, Suite 300A, near Broadway Plaza offers physician-read 3D automated breast ultrasound with artificial intelligence-assisted image analysis. Patients can book without a doctor’s referral.

The company lists a standard screening price of $349, while its website also advertises a $299 October promotion. Eve says appointments take about 20 minutes, results are returned within 48 hours, and health savings account and flexible spending account payments are accepted.

Eve launched its first clinic in San Francisco in October 2022 and says it has screened more than 4,000 patients. The Walnut Creek location is the first step in a broader expansion strategy, according to the company.

"Walnut Creek is the first step in bringing that model to more communities and laying the foundation for Eve to serve women in cities across the country," co-founder and president Brendan Foley said in the announcement.

A promotional post for the Test Those Breasts podcast describes Foley’s belief that people should become the CEO of their own health. The episode features Foley and his father, Bob, an adviser to Eve Wellness, discussing breast-health advocacy.

The clinic uses GE HealthCare’s Invenia ABUS system with AI-assisted physician review. FDA approval covers supplemental screening alongside mammography for certain women with dense breasts, rather than replacement of mammograms.

Appointments are available through Eve Wellness’s website.
