Seniors at Northgate and six other Mount Diablo Unified high schools who meet GPA and coursework benchmarks qualify for guaranteed admission to California State University East Bay.
Superintendent Adam Clark’s office announced the partnership in the district’s Friday Letter on Friday, Oct. 9.
Under the agreement, seniors with a GPA of at least 2.5 by the end of junior year who are on track to complete A-G requirements qualify for guaranteed admission. A-G requirements are the series of college-prep courses required for CSU and UC admission.
About 1,282 seniors recently received eligibility letters. Students still need to submit applications, and the district says college-and-career advisers can help them begin through CaliforniaColleges.edu.
The letter names College Park, Concord, Mt. Diablo, Northgate, Ygnacio Valley, Olympic and Prospect high schools as participating schools.
