The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation held its ninth annual Day on the Green golf fundraiser at Diablo Country Club in spring 2026, raising money for children battling a rare kidney disorder.

The event featured an 18-hole tournament followed by a cocktail reception, awards ceremony, silent auction, raffle, and live music, according to Diablo Magazine's July 17 coverage by Samantha Durbin. All proceeds supported children with nephrotic syndrome and their families through eight foundation programs, including Camp NSF, Backpacks of Hope, and patient grants.

Andi and Tucker Callaway of Alamo founded the nonprofit in 2017 after their son Wilson was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome at age six. The condition damages the kidney's filtering system, causing swelling, fatigue, and potentially kidney failure. It affects an estimated two to seven children per 100,000 under age 18 each year, according to the National Institutes of Health.

The foundation's Backpacks of Hope program sends newly diagnosed families a package of medical supplies, educational materials, and comfort items valued at more than $300 each. As of 2025, the foundation had delivered backpacks to more than 2,000 families, according to its website.

The organization did not disclose how much the 2026 event raised or how many golfers participated. The exact date of the spring tournament was not reported.
